Supported by a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the BEE program has forged  a breakthrough collaboration among the three faculties of electrical engineering and the schools of Engineering at Binghamton University, University at Buffalo, and Stony Brook University.

Here is a summary of its achievements and promise:

· It is the first joint program from three universities at SUNY
· When approved by State Education Department, it will be the nation's first EE accredited degree program at bachelors level
· It is the first Bachelors of Engineering online for SUNY
· It will be the first joint degree program online for SUNY
· In 2006-2007, we launched the first courses, enrolling students from 19 states and 7 countries
· Supported by 3-yr $300,000 grant from Sloan Foundation with Learning Environments as PI
· Supported by a collaboration of 50+ professionals (faculty, administrators, registrars, admissions, bursars, instructional designers) on three university center campuses (Binghamton, Buffalo, Stony Brook).
