Conferences on Computing in the Disciplines (COCID)
The COCIDs are up to 7 grants awarded by Learning Environments every year to campuses on a competitive basis. They are intended to support conferences for the benefit of all SUNY campuses about the use of new media and technology to support academia, and are viewed by LE as a means to explore and disseminate innovations. Awards are solicited and judged by the FACT Council.
The rules and schedule for applying and the important role of FACT Council in adjudicating these awards are explained here.
A sample 2007 COCIDs conference, to be held at Buffalo State, can be found here.
