Assessment Based Selective Release

  • Create a Password Protected Folder or Learning Activity.
  • Create an Assessment that the students need to "pass" in order to access the password protected information.
  • Create an Assignment Gradebook entry for this Assessment.
  • Click on the Automate Tab.
  • Click on Add New Agent.
  • Give your Agent a name in the Name Your Agent field.
  • Select the Content Agent Radio Button.
  • Click on Select content to monitor.
  • Under Lesson Type, select Assessment.
  • Select the Specific Assessment Radio Button.
  • Select the Assessment you want to use to "trigger" the selective release.
  • Click the Add Button.
  • Click the Close Window Button.
  • Click on the Drop Down Menu and select graded.
  • Enter your "Passing" Grade Range in the fields provided.
  • Click the Next Button.
  • Click on the User Selection Conditions Drop Down Menu and select Submissions.
  • Click on the List users that drop down menu and select have.
  • In the scored at least field type in the minimum passing grade needed to release the protected content.
  • In the next drop down menu select the assessment that will be used to release the content.
  • Click the Next Button.
  • Click on the Choose Action Type drop down menu and select Unlock.
  • Select Event Organizer in the Unlock content for field.
  • Click the Add Button.
  • Type in the password for the protected content.
  • Click the Next Button.
  • Click the Save Button
